Wyndham Ocean Ridge Edisto BeachWyndham Ocean Ridge Resort
Wyndham has been the economic driving force that kept Edisto going through the slow times.  The only true Planned subdivision and resort in the Town of Edisto Beach.  Unbelievable ammenites and golf resort atmosphere.  Walking distance to everything.  Tram service, 3 pools, Ocean Front cabana, exercise room, miniature golf, etc.  Every type of property is available from the nicest and biggest timeshare units in the country to million dollar homes we have something for every budget.

Jenkins Point, Edisto Island
 Jenkins Point

This was the last subdivision to be approved by Charleston County before the Land Use Plan took effect.  Nestled between 2 of the most historical and protected plantations on Edisto.  Tidal Creek and Marsh Front lots are very affordable compared to the other subdivisions.  Jenkins Point is becoming very active again as lot owners have began construction and we have a couple of permenant residents.

Bailey Island Club, Edisto IslandBailey Island Club
"Located in the ACE Basin off the coast of Edisto, South Carolina, Bailey Island lies in the heart of one of the most pristine natural settings in America.  Concerns over the island's development led to a partnership between private developers and The Nature Conservancy. The Island now centers around the Bailey Island Preserve. The 403 acre Preserve is owned by The Nature Conservancy and comprises almost 60% of the 695 acre island. This ensures that the island will stay exactly as you see it today - beautiful and natural."  from the Bailey Island Club Website.

Jeremy Cay, Edisto Beach
Jeremy Cay at Edingsville Beach

Oceanfront Living like nowhere else in the world.
"In a secluded area not far from Charleston, SC, lies a lush and beautiful island called Jeremy Cay.  Dirt road wind lazily among the oaks and palmettos, past some of the most majestic and unspoiled sceneryin the southeast.  It is a place of history and southern folklore,..."  quoted from Jeremy Cay brochure
Our wedding took place on Lot 1.
history of Jeremy Cay "The Lost Village at Edingsville Beach"

Cowpens, Edisto Island
Cowpens

Cowpens is one of my favorite areas of Edisto Island.  It sits at the gate of Jeremy Cay.  Every lot offers oceanviews in the front and tidal creek in the rear.  Owners have beach access through Jeremy Cay.  Low Key is the word for Cowpens.  Owners are laid back and seem to be very "close knit".  Few restrictions and low fees also appeal to buyers.  Lots of history and natural beauty.

The Hammocks, Edisto Island
The Hammocks

Jeremy Cay's sister development.  Creek Front Living with ocean views.  Lots of hugh oak trees and palmettos.  Very pristine.  Over a mile long private gated road is the only access.

The Neck, Edisto Island
The Neck

Edisto Island's first planned neighborhood.  Deep Water, Tidal Creek, Marsh Front, and Interior lots available.  Homes and vacant land.  I like the variety of property available here and the close proximity to the Beach.

Fishing Creek
Not really a neighborhood more like a old fishing community.  Only about 12 lots in a single bend in the creek.  I love it for its rustic charm and its 1960s SC lowcountry feel.

Fishing Creek Resort, Edisto Island

  Fishing Creek Resort
The closest neighborhood to the Town of Edisto Beach.  Good selection of tidal creek and interior properties.  Smaller than The Neck but more manicured.  Suits the new folks to Edisto.

Palmetto Pointe
A subdivision within The Neck.  Tidal Creek, Acreage, and lots available here.  Some lots can be subdivided.  Very rustic and secluded.  Suits the families who have been on Edisto for a long time and enjoy this style of low impact development.

Beckett Plantation, Edisto Island

Beckett Plantation

Plantation development done right.  Estate size lots averaging about 3 acres and still very close to the beach. Low impact road and drainage.  One of Edisto's more desirable neighborhoods.

Crawford Plantation
Great starter neighborhood for folks just wanting to test the waters here before spending big $$$.  Also a neighborhood for young families and permenant residents who rent their beach houses out during the summer.

Peter's Point
Although not a traditional "neighborhood" the Peter's Point community is very protective of it's large portion of the center of Edisto Island.  A lot of the old Edisto families are represented here.  Deep Water, Tidal Creek, Marsh Front, Acreage, Lots, and even Plantation size acreage available from time to time.  Peter's Point has one of the highest bluffs on Edisto.  Very Private and Pristine.  Near the top of my list.

Spartina Bay, Edisto Island

Spartina Bay

Edisto's only subdivision with dedicated boat slips.  Located in the middle of Peter's Point.  One of the last subdivisions approved before the new Charleston County Land Use Plan was appoved.

Marsh Aire, Edisto IslandMarsh Aire

Nestled between 3 Plantations, Marsh Aire has lots to offer.  Very private and hard to find.  Tidal Creek, Marsh Front, and Acreage sized lots are available.  Home are hard to come by in this subdivision.  They do not stay on the Market long.  Paved roads and street lights are unique features compared to other Edisto Island Subdivisions.

Middleton Plantation, Edisto Island
Middleton Plantation

One of the largest plantations to ever be developed on Edisto Island.  Middleton offers anything you could want in an Edisto property.  Deep Water, Tidal Creek, Marsh Front, small lots, and acreage size lots up to 10 acres.  It is located in the middle of the island so it is only about 35 minutes to Charleston and less than 10 minutes from the Beach.  Makes it the most suitable for families who work in Charleston or desire more privacy than the subdivisions closer to the beach.

Blue House Plantation, Edisto Island

 Blue House Plantation

Blue House is one of a kind.  You literally drive through a working plantation to get to the small developed islands of Blue House Plantation Subdivision.  There are no signs so it is nearly impossible to find.  But do not worry because ownership opportunities are few and far between.

Battery Park
One of Wyndham's most popular neighborhoods.  Battery Parks has great views of marsh, lagoons, and the golf course.  The lots are level and the low amount of trees offers long expansive views.

Gun Bluff
Wyndham's first nieghborhood offers heavily wooded homes and lots.  Centrally located and affordable.  Also offers homes built on crawlspace.

Oristo Ridge
Wyndham's last residential neighborhood.  Location and Price is the big drawing point.  These lots are walking distance to the beach and are very undervalued.  Oristo Ridge also has very high elevations and its own private gated entrance.

Heron Cove
Wyndham's most desirable address.  Very very close to the beach.  Lagoon and golf course views of the signature holes.  Use of Marsh Point pool across the street.  Heron Cove has a private gated entrance.  Walking distance to the Marina and restuarants.

Sand Piper Ridge
Not really a planned subdivision but perhaps a well guarded secret located only a few hundred feet from the beach.  It only has about 10 lots and some front a huge salt water lake full of spot tail bass.  Very seldom is property available here.

South Point
South Pointe boasts the largest villas in any Wyndham Resort.  Consisting of 11 units there are 4 presidential suites and 1 is fully handicapped accessible.  These units are 4 bedroom/4.5 bathrooms and can sleep 14 comfortably.  Each bedroom has a finished deck. Private pool and courtyard.  Only a few hundred feet from the beach.  Truley one of a kind in the timeshare industry.  Never before has the company invested this much $$$ per unit.  These units on the full ownership market would be valued above $500,000 per townhouse.

Beach Walk
Our latest Wyndham ownership property.  Not as plush as South Pointe but more affordable.  Sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms/3 baths.  Only 2 short blocks to the beach.

Island Cove
Just between the Town of Edisto Beach and the State Park is a small island connected to the Town by a narrow causeway.  Island Cove is as secluded as you can get on Edisto Beach.
